The ones who will protect your mind, body, and soul above all else. They put their life in chaos to reduce the chaos of those who they hold close to their heart.
This is a welcome burden for any parent. We chose this adventure and love with all of our heart.
You work to provide, slow down to nurture, stop to listen, and jump to protect.
I am here to remind you that it is not selfish to care for yourself. Make time to reduce brain stress, fatigue, physical burden. Self-care is essential to keep the wheels of life turning effectively.
Whether you thrive on routine or the non-stop race of life, you can fit in time for yourself. Being intentional is all you need to be successful with your wellbeing. If your life feels full day to day you may also want to consider boundaries. You can be intentional to make time, but remember not to let a non-emergent addition stand in the way of your time.
If you do not thrive on routine, do not start a routine with this task. Start smaller and explore some other posts to find your attainable goals.
Look at self-care as your adventure. When you go on an adventure or trip, how do you approach it?
- Are you a planner?
- Do you prefer a partner to keep you focused?
- Do you wing it and take the path most appealing when you see it?
Think back on an adventure that was successful and mentally or physically jot down why it went well. Then think of a time your adventure did not go well. Make another list to remind you what to avoid whether it is mindset or actions. Know why you could fail and what could hold you back, then remember your successful trip and move forward with the mindset and actions that led you there.
Mindset > Take action > Reflect > Plan > Keep moving on your adventure. END RESULT = Self-Care that nurtures your soul and replicates positive energy into the rest of your life.
