Your morning routine sets the tone of the day… or does it?
I find how I prepare the night before sets the tone for my next day. Personally I love sleep and mornings come too early. I have always aspired to be a morning person who exercises, makes everyones lunch, and gets a homemade breakfast put together. I have accepted this is not who I am, however I have adjusted to incorporate what I envy of those that rise and shine early.
In the evenings I catch a second wind. While I am putting away leftovers from dinner I like to pack up our food for the next day. This also helps avoid the “oh shoot” moment I have had many mornings when I did not have a clean container for lunches. We mainly use glass which is not school approved. No one enjoys an added couple of minutes washing dishes in the AM.
Prepping can help:
- Avoid morning dishes.
- Know you have a healthy, wholesome homemade lunch.
- Grab and go … quick exit in the morning.
- Get the family involved. Have them pack their things or group them together.
- Reduce brain stress in the AM
